SUMMARY SCOPE OF ROLE
A General Manager with IDM Hospitality must be a true entrepreneur in every sense of the word and the epitome of what a leader should be. Maintaining a balance of successful oversight of the daily hotel operations and property profitability while simultaneously providing dynamic and ethical leadership in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver memorable guest service beyond guest's expectations, is an everyday quest for this role
MINIMUM EDUCATION/RELEVANT WORK QUALIFICATIONS
2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years hands on experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing or management operations
4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years hands on experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing or management operations

The General Manager has overall responsibility for the successful operation of the hotel and for meeting or exceeding its operational objectives by focusing on the following:
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK HOURS
This is a full time, year-round position with a minimum of 50 hours per week expected.
The General Manager reports to the Vice President of Operations for IDM Hospitality. This role will have direct oversight of all department heads on property and indirect oversight responsibilities of all associates on staff.
Ability to lift to 50lbs, clearly verbally communicate with employees and public. speak, hear, see, read, write, type, dial, reach, and bend.
Infrequent travel up to 10% for required meetings, conferences and/or trainings is required. Travel options will include car, train and/or airline travel along with possible overnight stays will also be required.
