Off the Vine Catering

Catering Sales Manager/Wedding Event Planner

Provide additional sales/event planning to catering sales division

Overall Responsibilities:

Cold Calling:

  • Client/Database research
  • Client lists - industrial office parks/specific targeted areas - ie:
  • Corporate/Social & Wedding Venues
  • Research websites/areas of contacts for events
  • Phone work - specific contact person for targeted clients
  • Drop offs/visits - specific visits to potential clients - with collateral and gift (food)
  • Venue managers - meet/introduce company - goal: preferred caterers list
  • Cultivate and establish relationship with Meeting planning companies
  • Cultivate client list/rolodex of current database from previous employment/history
  • Cultivate and introduce product line to any/all potential clients


  • Selling of wedding package/wedding website page as well as corporate and social menus
  • Assist in development of collateral material - design, ideas etc.
  • Knowledge of collateral material
  • Assist with seasonal and menu design and layout
  • process mailings: prepare and send out
  • process inquiries and initial information to clients

Marketing/Public Relations:

  • Assist owners in development of new marketing tools
  • Assist in development in creating avenues to meet new clients
  • Create and assist in design or ideas to attract new business
  • Engage in best wedding shows/expos/bridal fairs for company exposure

Company Representation:

  • represent Off the Vine Catering at meetings, trade shows, (in some cases), association membership - NACE, ISES, MPI
  • participation in wedding shows/expos - representing OTV/our services
  • possible participation Boston Wedding Group/Marketing to the High End Bride
  • Research and Development of new marketing areas for weddings
  • Considered a management level employee at any/all events/functions

Additional Responsibilities:

  • presence at events as assigned by Owners/Event Planner - contact with client
  • reports to Partners of Off the Vine Catering - specifically working with Owner/Event Planner
  • some weekends and evenings - pending function schedule
  • Laptop provided by company - security responsible by employee
