Job Description


Butler seeks an experienced catering manager to support our growing catering operations throughout Chicago based out of the Ambassador, Godfrey, and Talbott Hotels. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience in catering operations and management, with at least two years at a hotel.

What You Will Do

  • Determine customer requirements and propose catering solutions
  • Negotiate prices and prepare meticulous BEOs
  • Communicate requirements across teams including culinary, operations, logistics, and technology
  • Maximize catering revenue in coordination with the Customer Success Team and individual hotel sales staff
  • Ensure that every catering request is met with competitive and compelling offer
  • Ensure that every catering order is successfully served
  • Follow up with customers to ensure future business and correct operational deficiencies
  • Work from the Butler office in Chicago and travel extensively throughout the City -- this is NOT a remote position

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or similar
  • At least five years of experience in catering sales and operations
  • At least two years of experience in catering sales and operations at a hotel
  • A tech-savvy and efficient communicator capable of being productive anywhere
  • Has a passion for travel and status with airlines and hotels
  • Has a valid driver's license, personal vehicle, & clean driving record (all mileage reimbursed)
