Job Title: MDM Data Analyst/Steward - Order to Cash

Reports to: Global Data Governance Office Lead

Location: Virtual with up to 25% travel

The Order to Cash MDM Data Analyst will primarily focus on Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) master data management and governance. The candidate for this role must have a passion coupled with the necessary skills to efficiently ensure the data is right to support business processes, reporting and analytics.

This role requires tactical data management experience as well as a strong understanding of SAP S4/HANA and/or SAP ECC and the cross functional integration points of enterprise master data in a manufacturing environment.
  • Gather and document master data requirements for both SAP and Non-SAP environments as it pertains to S&OP
  • Provide support in building and maintaining a " golden template" for required SAP and Non-SAP field data standards - this will define acceptable values for each required field
  • Perform assessments of existing data quality for required fields via data profiling and determine/execute gap closure plans to meet reporting and analytics requirements
  • Scope the work effort to bring required fields to data standards and develop/execute project/resource plans and timelines
  • Perform data cleansing and harmonization
  • Document and maintain S&OP data management/governance policies, processes, and procedures
  • Continuously monitor the state of master data quality as it pertains to the scope and the business outcomes
  • Develop, manage, and report scorecards/metrics/KPIs
  • Address sources of data defects in a timely and sustainable manner
  • Support S&OP master data integration resulting from M&A and systems conversions
  • Work with business stakeholders to proactively analyze the master data for high impact opportunities where data can be leveraged as an asset to yield tangible EBITDA and Cash Flow improvements as well as opportunity cost savings to leverage O2C process resources more effectively
  • Utilize innovative and resourceful tactics to harmonize and streamline master data quality processes across the S&OP landscape
  • Contribute to overall master data strategy in the accountable domains
  • Ensure that S&OP data quality process controls align with internal and external security/compliance/audit expectations
  • Prepare and perform training on S&OP data governance - the why and the requirements
  • Actively advocate for a data-driven culture - be seen as championing the criticality of MDM

Education and Background:

Required
  • Minimum bachelor' s degree required - prefer STEM or other Technical degree
  • Demonstrates self-directed high-performance work standards, agility, resourcefulness, and resilience contributing to a dynamic, fast paced, growth-oriented environment
  • 3+ years of progressive master data management experience
  • Understanding of SAP tables, fields and record content, usage, and value levers within assigned domain and end-to-end business process
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Expert hands-on experience with data analysis techniques and tools; strong attention to detail ; efficiently works with large volumes of data from various sources as well as data related processes; strong critical thinking and intellectual curiosity skills
  • Functional understanding of how master data is used across S&OP business processes
  • Anticipates customer requirements and communicates proactively the status of projects and assignments without customer prompting
  • Demonstrated data literacy/change management experience - ability to influence others to modify behaviors and provide support for the adoption of data governance policies
  • Ability to deconstruct and reconstruct complex business processes and visualize with process flow diagrams
  • Previous experience developing training materials for large cross functional groups, writing policies, and developing process maps
  • Ability and comfort level to influence others to modify behaviors and provide support for the adoption of data governance processes and policies
  • Experience organizing and leading effective cross functional teams to collaboratively address data related business issues/opportunities - brings the right people at the right time to the table - taps into and incorporates the strengths and insights of the team members
  • Solid project management skills to guide data quality improvement and associated technology implementation projects
  • Facilitation and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization
  • Relentless commitment and passion to promote the quality and continuous improvement of data assets that deliver desired business outcomes

Preferred/Plus
  • Experience working directly with MDM technologies (Informatica, SAP Information Steward, BODs, MDG, SQL, etc.) AI/RPA, BI/Analytics
  • Supply chain and or manufacturing experience a plus
  • Data conversion/integration experience for systems conversions and M&A' s
  • Initiates continued growth and development of technical job requirements, industry knowledge and business process acumen utilizing both internal and external resources
