Job Description


Horseshoe Bay Resort Pastry Cooks exhibit baking and decorating talents by personally performing tasks in preparing quality and consistent pastries and baked goods resort-wide. Must be able to follow standard recipes and complete daily production in a timely manner. Must ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved.


  • -Knowledgeable on the fundamentals of pastry techniques and plate presentations.
    -Ensure pastry preparation shift operations and ensures compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards and procedures.
    -Ensures compliance with all local, state and federal (OSHA, ASI and Health Department) regulations.
    -Sets a positive example for guest relations.
    -Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with associates.
    -Maintains resort safety procedures and the ability to follow loss prevention policies to prevent accidents and control costs.
    -Ensure we are properly working with supplies and manage inventories according to budget.
    -Strives to improve service performance.


  • -High school diploma or GED, required; 4 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.


  • -2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major, preferred; 2 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.


Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Finger/hand dexterity in order to operate food machinery. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. on a continuous schedule.

Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
