Your Role As a Gensler architectural Project Manager for hospitality and residential projects, you will leverage your attention to detail and interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional architectural projects on time and on budget. You will deploy resources to ensure that the work process flows smoothly and act as the primary liaison between the team and client. This is a great opportunity to join a highly creative, collaborative team while working on trendsetting architectural projects across a variety of industries.What You Will DoImplement one or more client projects through the leadership of project teams.Provide leadership to client and team by creating and communicating clear and attainable project objectives, contract scope, terms, and scheduleManage all phases of design throughout project scope for large complex architectural projects, including project set-up and entitlements, design and construction administration.Manage scheduling, budgets, staffing, and project set-up with clients, sub-contractors, vendors and contractorsManage project scheduling, budgets, and set-up with clients, sub-contractors, vendors and consultantsPrepare project proposals and negotiate contracts and fees; bid projects to multiple general contractorsTrack and manage financial performance of project for success (e.g., work plan, schedule, fees, change orders, billings and collections)Manage project lifecycle; estimating, bidding, project kick-off, weekly coordination, punch list, turnover, opening, and project close-outPrepare project team work-plans and manage a range of project team sizes, comprised of project architects, interior designers, job captains and consultantsActively manage, track and be accountable for financial performance of projectPrepare project proposals, negotiate contracts and fees, coordinate bidding processEnsure projects conform to contractActively leading teams for successful delivery of projectsManaging client expectations, team communication and oversight of consultant coordination.Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs.Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships.Your QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Interior Architecture from an accredited school7 - 12 years of related experience, including demonstrated success as a project manager on large complex architectural projects (mixed use, commercial office buildings, multi-family, and/or hospitality)Experience negotiating project scope, fees, managing project financial performance, and ensuring fiscal responsibility for projectsKnowledge of building codes, standards and building structuresBasic technical understanding of architectural design, interior and furniture designExperience with project management software, such as MS Project, a plusWorking knowledge of AutoCAD and RevitRegistered Architect or Interior Designer preferredStrong abilities in managing fees, schedules and staffingExperience leading, managing and mentoring multiple project teamsExperience negotiating project scope and feesExperience with the entire project lifecycle and design process through post-occupancyExperience with technical and/or design aspects of documenting corporate interiors projectsProven fiscal accountability and responsibility on corporate interior projectsKnowledge of building codes, standards and building structuresFlexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of developmentA quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environmentExcellent written + verbal communication and management skills to include leadership, organization and client relationship management skillsCollaborative and team-consciousAbility to handle difficult situations with tact, grace and styleMust have the ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationshipsApplications must include work samples for full consideration.
