Job Description

Seeking an experienced and results-driven salesperson to join our energetic team. The individual in this role would provide appropriate product solutions for our customers and nurture them through our purchase flow from start to finish. Candidates for this position should prioritize customer care, acquisition, and company profitability.


Cosecha del Sur is a young and exciting specialty importing and roasting company with a focus on single-origin Latin American coffees. We are looking for a very specific candidate that has an interest in wearing many hats and is willing to take initiative and jump in where needed. The candidate will have ample opportunity to grow with the company and will be seen as a core team member. The candidate's personal and professional aspirations will be seriously considered for future growth opportunities within the business.


Salesperson Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify cafe and restaurant leads via phone, email, and in-person visits
  • Generate and qualify private label leads
  • Schedule sales appointments and tasting events
  • Promote products/services to new and existing customers
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of new and existing customers
  • Close sales by means of excellent customer service and salesmanship
  • Develop strategies for more effective sales closing, share with team
  • Maintain positive business and customer relationships to prolong customer lifetime value
  • Prioritize and/or escalate client questions and concerns to increase client satisfaction
  • Source and develop client referrals
  • Track personal appointments, status reports, and sales
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • Continuously develop knowledge of all aspects of coffee, including but not limited to sensory analysis, SCA cupping protocols, grinding and brewing techniques
  • Reports directly to President

Salesperson Requirements and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with direct sales, customer service
  • Coffee experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in sales
  • Passion for coffee and desire to learn and grow with a young and exciting business
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly motivated, determined, and target driven
  • Proven track record in the sales environment
  • Ability to meet and exceed monthly sales quota
  • Expert in time management and personal organization
  • Familiarity with BRM and CRM best practices
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but may accept relevant experience

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary will be base + commission
  • Base: $25,000
  • Commission: 20% for the first month of business
  • Commission: 5% on all ongoing/residual business
  • Annual Earning Potential: $75,000-$100,000/year if monthly goals are met or exceeded.
  • Potential for earning potential to increase if goals are consistently met or exceeded
  • 3 weeks paid vacation
