Location:National Harbor, MarylandIt is the responsibility of the Dealer I to perform the act of dealing a single Game Type while providing excellent guest service. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and Company policies, practices, and procedures.Essential Functions and TasksThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by employees in this position. The incumbent is expected to perform other duties necessary for effective operation of the departmentDeals a single Game Type proficiently. Those Game Types are: Blackjack, Baccarat, Roulette, Craps, Specialty Games (Poker), and variations.Protects, controls, and verifies the accuracy of fills, credits, openers/closers, and marker transactions.Accurately exchanges cash or markers for chips.Collects losing bets, pays winning bets, and collects commission based on game municates verbally with supervisors or Table Games Managers of unnatural or irregular play and disputes on the game.Notifies supervisor immediately of all mistakes or claims and makes resolution only at the direction of the supervisor.Verbalizes player instructions, card totals, results or any other information as required in the procedures of each game.Maintains a helpful and courteous atmosphere on the game, while controlling the pace of the game.Promotes and maintains the highest level of service to all guests while staying alert to their needs and responds effectively to guest inquiries.Resolves guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refers the matter to management. Notifies supervisor of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneEducation and/or ExperienceREQUIRED:High school diploma or pleted a Dealer Trainee program.Minimum six (6) months of experience as a Dealer.PREFERRED: Bilingual abilities.One (1) year of experience as a Dealer.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsCompleted a proficiency examination with a passing score in the Game Type to qualify for the Dealer I Classification.Obtain/Maintain Occupational License.Gaming License.Background and Drug Check.SECTION 3: COMPETENCIES & WORKING CONDITIONSKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesCustomer Service Orientation: The ability to provide excellent service to guests and ensure their complete satisfaction.
