Job Description

Make a Difference for a Youth with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities
Become a Host Home (Foster Home) Provider.
If you have room in your heart and your life , Community Services, Incorporated (CSI) is looking for singles or couples to provide youth with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities a nurturing and supportive home.
This is a contract position that offers $60-$120 per day stipend, plus room and board (may be tax-free; check with your tax professional)
As an In-Home Caregiver and Host Home provider you will be a support for a child in need, providing care at a critical time in their life. Our Host Home Program serves youth ages 10 to 18 who have complex needs that will require your support. We provide initial and ongoing training and coaching, relief support, 24hr on-call support and guidance, and supplemental in-home support from CSI direct support professionals.
General requirements to become a Host Home provider?
  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Have a home (own or lease) in Washington County
  • Able to provide a separate bedroom with a door and window
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Have a reliable vehicle, proof of auto insurance and a valid Oregon Driver's License.
  • Have access to a high-speed internet connection
  • Be physically, emotionally and financially stable
  • Must be willing to complete all training requirements
  • Be honest, compassionate, dependable and caring with good judgment, understanding and patience.
· Willing to receive training and have the ability to learn and use effective child-rearing practices to enable a child placed in the Host Home to grow, develop, and build positive personal relationships and self-esteem .
  • A two-person (adult) household is ideal
  • Experience with individual with Intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or foster care a plus but not required
