Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to businesses with annual sales generally in excess of $5 million. Our business lines are Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Middle Market Banking, and Treasury Management & Payment Solutions.

The Agribusiness, Food and Hospitality Division is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager's with coverage responsibilities in the Western half of the United States including the Rocky Mountain West, Southwest, California and the Pacific Northwest focused on generating revenue by defending and expanding existing relationships, converting new prospect relationships, cultivating C-Suite relationships, and the ongoing management of account relationships within the Mid Corporate target market within Commercial Banking.

Target market includes larger clients with complex business strategies and capital structure needs requiring corporate finance advisory capabilities and access to robust credit and capital markets solutions. Represents bank in attracting, developing, expanding and maintaining client relationships with Mid Corporate clients. Leads development, maintenance and generation of revenues with Mid Corporate clients in order to meet annual revenue goals by actively generating new business through expansion of existing relationships, conversion of prospects and delivering other solutions oriented ideas for clients. Leads and organizes the team to actively provide financial advice on business strategy, bank and capital markets financing alternatives, and other ancillary financial solutions in order to differentiate and drive competitive advantage for Wells Fargo. Partners with leadership, investment banking, risk management and other partners across the bank to originate, structure and execute most complex transactions with little to no supervision, including but not limited to commercial lending to include acquisition finance and bridge underwriting, investment banking and capital markets transactions, treasury management products, derivative hedging and other non-credit related products. Engages with other key partners, product and business line groups across the bank in order to drive optimal coverage outcomes and the delivery of Wells Fargo product expertise/solutions. Responsible for developing junior talent by implementing a regular cadence of objective setting, coaching/mentoring, performance evaluation, and assigning projects designed to enhance skill development.

Salary range is determined by the location of the job.
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule:

CO - Denver Min: $157,500 Mid: $225,000 Max: $292,500
CA - Bakersfield Min: $157,500 Mid: $225,000 Max: $292,500
AZ - Phoenix Min: $157,500 Mid: $225,000 Max: $292,500
WA - Seattle Min: $157,500 Mid: $225,000 Max: $292,500
OR - Portland Min: $157,500 Mid: $225,000 Max: $292,500

Required Qualifications

  • 9+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: commercial banking relationship management, corporate banking relationship management, equity or venture capital investing


Desired Qualifications

  • Established network in the local market
  • Account relationship management experience
  • Strong credit analysis skills
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of negotiating: interest rates, price, terms, and collateral requirements
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of risk management and complex credit executions related to acquisition financing and bridge underwriting
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of commercial or specialty group: lending, loan servicing, products, and credit practices
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of debt and equity capital markets
  • Experience originating, structuring, and executing bank lending transactions, other credit related products, for critical or complex clients


Other Desired Qualifications
  • 9+ years strategic sales planning or direct prospecting experience with firms > $250MM sales


Job Expectations

  • Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. In addition state registration, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA review process at the time of offer acceptance.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 and 79 must be completed within a 90 or 180-day time period contingent upon number of license(s) needed if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance.
  • For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite may also be required FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance
