Job Description

Seasons & Regions Seafood Grill is an established and highly regarded SW Portland restaurant looking for a well-rounded kitchen manager to join our kitchen team. We are a busy, independently, and locally owned restaurant that prides itself on scratch made products. Candidates for this position will have stable/long-term employment history with managerial experience in a high-volume kitchen, the ability to work fast and clean with strong multi-tasking capabilities, maintain a positive demeanor and model a strong work ethic for the staff, as well as perform the daily operational duties that are required.

The kitchen manager reports directly to the chef/owner and shares responsibilities for the daily operation of the kitchen. Duties include managing all aspects of the food service operation, including menu planning, purchasing, food preparation, and safety and sanitation, as well as planning, scheduling, controlling, and directing the work of employees in the kitchen. Primary station during busy shifts will be expediting orders and coordinating between the hot line and the salad station.

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 2+ years' experience successfully assistant managing medium to high-volume, polished, full-service restaurants. Ideal candidates should have an upbeat and energetic personality and be able to work as part of a management team.
