Description

We are currently searching for an experienced Executive Chef for our on-site restauruant, The Bistro, at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Cincinnati-Blue Ash managed by Pyramid Hotel Group!

The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Exeuctive Chef in the operations of the kitchen. This includes coordinating the activities of the line cooks and overseeing food production operations to ensure that quality standards are maintained for the restaurant and banquets.

What you will be doing:

* Responsible for the kitchen operations including menu planning, provisioning, food preparation and sanitation
* Supervise the culinary team to ensure a consistent and high quality product
* Manage and develop the culinary team and all food related functions
* Ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved
* Oversee all food related areas (banquets, room service, restaurants, bar/lounge and team member meal program).

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position:

* Works well under pressure
* Organized, flexible, self-motivated and willing to work long hours
* Ability to cultivate creativity on a daily basis
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to lead from the front and be hands on.
* Excellent culinary knowledge and skills with exceptional creative abilities
* Degree in culinary arts, hotel and restaurant management, or related major.
* The company may consider equivalent combination of acceptable education and experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities.
