JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of Master Wine Blender's job is to manage all aspects of the Bohemian Wine Bar and Wine Blending Room while managing service personnel and business functions through and with subordinates to meet or exceed guest and business expectations.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • -Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
    -40% GUEST SERVICE
    -To manage and provide leadership to the Grand Performers in the Bohemian Wine Bar and Blending Room Outlet.
    -The Master Wine Blender oversees the day-to-day operations of the wine bar and blending room to ensure that the total guest experience is second to none.
    -Monitor customer satisfaction through review of internal and external reviews, as well as by spending time with the guests and ensuring their needs are being met and expectations exceeded.
    -Set Up and Conduct wine classes as well as assist in the wine bar as needed
    -Assist in other outlets for manager support as needed.
    -30% FINANCIALS
    -Responsible for the ordering of all beverages for the entire hotel
    -Monitor and produce, if necessary, schedules for Bohemian Wine Bar and Blending Room staff to ensure proper staffing levels within budgeted guidelines.
    -Participate in and submit accurate beverage and retail inventories on monthly basis per the direction of the hotel controller and Dir. Of Food and Beverage.
    -Participate in and submit accurate beverage inventory on monthly basis per the direction of the hotel controller and Dir. Of Food and Beverage.
    -Assist in the monitoring of revenue and expense forecasting in KHMS for responsible areas for Bohemian Wine Bar and Blending Room
    -20% COMMUNICATION
    -Arrange and/or Conduct Monthly Meetings for all Bohemian Wine Bar/Blending Outlet
    -Attend all meetings deemed necessary by General Manager, Human Resources, and Director of Food and Beverage
    -10% NETWORKING
    -Promote the overall success of the Hotel through personal interaction with guests, vendors, and the local community.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • -Must possess excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
    -Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
    -Must project a professional demeanor, pleasant personality, and positive attitude, neat and well-groomed appearance.
    -Ability to maintain and build relationships with existing and potential clients as well as industry contacts
    -Ability to maintain and build relationships with all Grand Performers as well as industry contacts
    -Knowledge of wine and food service practices
    -Must possess excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
    -Basic math skills
    -Prior management experience preferred
    -Minimum Qualifications
    -Minimum of 5 experience in wine & fine dining Food & Beverage operations- required
    -Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Supervisory/Management role - required
    -TIPS training certification and Foodservice manager certification- preferred or attained within 30 days

    -Wine Blending Attendants (depending on Org Chart)

    -Must be able to work safely in a kitchen environment with high temperatures and humidity
    -Must be able to work outdoors in variable weather including heat and cold
