Please bring with YouUpdated ResumePicture ID Such as: Drivers License, ID, etc.Employment Eligibility Documents such as: SS Card, Birth Certificate, Passport, Etc.Three References with Contact InformationAttire: Business CasualGeneral Purpose:Assist in food preparation and serving; maintain clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas under the supervision of the Dietary Manager and/or Asst Dietary ManagerEssential Job Functions:This facility expects their employees to promote an atmosphere of teamwork with other employees and hospitality and comfort for its residents. Therefore, the following list of duties is not all-inclusive:Food Preparation, Serving and Cleaning:* Prepare and cook meals for residents and employees of institutions. * Cook foodstuffs in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served. * May serve meals. * May direct activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.* Required to prepare various foods depending on menu created by dieticians for each meal of the day. * Required to operate various kitchen equipment in preparation for the meal, e.g., mixer, meat slicer, food processor, oven, steamer. Equipment Used includes: Standard kitchen equipment, e.g., meat slicer, food processor, blender.* May be required to clean work surfaces following: sweep floors, wipe down counter space, cover and store unused foods.* Required to create meals that are appropriate for the elderly and in large quantities. Employee is required to use institutional sized cookware. * Required to work at a constant pace to ensure that food is ready for each meal of the day. * May be required to order supplies.* May be required to fill in gaps in kitchen help.* Required to attend all mandatory in-services.* May be required to perform other duties as directed.Supply:* Stock and store food items as assigned.* Maintain a level of food and supplies adequate for the next meal and assist in inventorying and storing incoming foods and supplies.* Report hazardous conditions, equipment, accidents and incidents, as necessary.Other duties:* Attend in-service education programs in order to meet facility educational requirements.* Be familiar with Standard Precautions, Exposure Control Plan, Fire Drill and Evacuation Procedures and know how to use the information.* Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility records/information.* And other related duties as assigned.
