Job Description

Position Title: Dining Operations Supervisor Date: April 2021 Reports To: Managers and Executive Chef FLSA: Non-Exempt Vesper Country Club is a private club situated in Tyngsboro, MA on the banks of the Merrimack River. Recently renovated upscale casual dining and bar areas along with club social and private events make for an exciting and active operation. With amenities such as golf, tennis and aquatics the club is one of the premier private facilities in the area. Team oriented and fun environment looking to add a self-motivated, creative and professional person to the team. Job Summary: -Works closely with Managers and Executive Chef on the daily operation of the Main Clubhouse dining and beverage operation. Maintain a high level of service that enhances the member experience while remaining fiscally responsible to the operation. Adheres to budgets and highlights any deviations that may affect revenues or expenses. Strong focus and commitment to training staff, engaging with members and uphold the standards of the Club's food and beverage service. Overall Responsibilities: - Supervises day-to-day Main House dining operations - Has a keen attention to detail in the appearance and organization of the operation. A proactive attitude so others want to follow your example. - Ensures staff is properly attired and follows appropriate check-off lists prior to shift - Orchestrate with F&B Managers and Executive Chef proper setup, staffing and organization of dining operations and events around the Club - Communicates issues with staff or membership with Managers and Executive Chef and how they were or need to be resolved - Oversees training schedules for new staff - Gracious and pleasant interaction with membership - Follow up on sanitation and communicate to department heads any violation. Works with Facility Manager on any corrective action - Responsible for day-to-day billing accuracies and end-of-shift reports and journals - Professional presence. Ensure you are on time, dressed appropriately, greet and meet staff - Participate in weekly Food & Beverage meetings and be aware of happenings around the Club - Adheres to Swing Principle for staffing each dining area. Coordinates adjustments in staffing levels in different areas Main House Responsibilities: - Oversees daily F&B operation as dictated by the Management Schedule as either lunch supervisor, dinner supervisor, or club event supervisor - Occasionally works in other areas of the club as dictated by volume and staffing levels. - Helps Managers and Executive Chef create and implement processes for new dining/bar operation. Looks for ways to improve efficiency and member satisfaction in all areas Job Skills and Abilities: -Serve Safe, TIPS, Allergen awareness, Crowd Control, AED/CPR/First Aid certified. -Familiar with JONAS software and website -WORD/EXCEL/PowerPoint -Strong communication (written and oral) and organizational skills -Excellent customer service skills Working Conditions: -Work is physically demanding and performed in a combination of Dining Rooms and Kitchen areas. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, and lift objects exceeding 20 pounds. Compensation: -Full time/Can be Part Time for the right candidate but would need a minimum number of hours worked each week. March-December (off January-March) -Non-Exempt -Compensation commensurate with experience -Signing Bonus of $1,500 to be issued on Labor Day -Holiday year end bonus. $1,000 -Health/Dental/Life insurance according to Club Policies (F/T only) -401k when eligible Contact: No phone calls please.
