Job Description

BASIC PURPOSE: Support Revenue, Sales and Marketing teams for the Regent Seven Seas Cruises brand, assist with annual budget, weekly and monthly forecast, reporting and variance analysis.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Compile and analyze Sales & Marketing Expenses, including daily and weekly analyses to executive management. Reconcile and resolve variances of revenue plans and actuals.
  • Prepare financial analysis models for all potential Sales & Marketing, measure results while in test periods and after a permanent company-wide implementation.
  • Assist in developing monthly forecasts and annual financial plans for the Sales & Marketing departments under the Regent Brand President.
  • Make recommendations to enhance current reporting, forecasting and planning processes.
  • Coordinate with Operations to develop, review, and upload all budgets and forecasts; track, report, and reconcile related incentives, sales metrics, marketing funds, etc.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly accruals and forecasts as needed to support all areas under Regent Brand President.
  • Identify process improvements by partnering with the business to understand information requirements to develop automated processes and increase productivity.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant background and work experience.

EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years' experience with financial or business planning. Cruise line or hospitality industry experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Advanced-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with special emphasis on Excel spreadsheet analysis. Ability to work independently. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels and across all functions in the organization. Ability to multi-task. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in analysis and presentations. Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and reporting. Ability to maintain sensitive data and information confidential.
