The Commissary Assembler is responsible for the final assembly of trolleys in the commissary department. Each group of trolleys is assembled according to the type and size of the flight for which they are being used.
The duties of the Commissary Assembler include the following:
Checking flight bill - the worker reviews the flight bills to determine what items are required for each flight. The counter height is 36 inches high, which may require the worker to bend slightly. This activity is done intermittently throughout the day and the bending is not required for any prolonged periods of time.
Assembling flights -commissary trolleys that have been rebuilt are brought over to the assembly area by the bar/boutique builders. The assembler stages the trolleys according to flight number. *Headsets, hampers and satchels are added, as requested, to the trolleys to complete the flight.
