HAP Alaska-Yukon (HAP) operates hotels, motorcoach transportation and private rail cars in Alaska and Yukon Territory supporting the Alaska cruise operations for HA Group; Princess Cruises, Holland America Line and Seabourn Cruises. This Land Operations Accounting Manager position supports revenue, expense and balance sheet activity for the HAP land operations.


  • Oversee month-end close and reporting functions for HAP operations.
  • Manage account reconciliation process to ensure accuracy, efficiency and completeness.
  • Manage local revenue recognition processes and training for all HAP operating units (30+).
  • Coordinate with other HA Group departments on intercompany revenue recognition and reconciliation.
  • Identify and facilitate potential process and policy improvements which result in inclusive solutions for all impacted parties.
  • Ensure internal and external audits are sufficiently supported.
  • Manage special projects as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field
  • 5+ years experience in GAAP or IFRS accounting.
  • Experience with enterprise computerized accounting system. Oracle EBS preferred.
  • Extensive experience creating Excel spreadsheets with advanced excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to work with and solicit cooperation from individuals in a variety of roles.
  • Ability to prepare and present financial information to a "non finance" audience.


  • CPA desired but not required
  • 2+ years managerial experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.
  • Experience with Blackline Account Reconciliation software
  • Experience evaluating and improving financial processes.
  • Experience in working with a geographically diverse team.
