Job Description

This role will lead, direct, and oversee the ongoing development of Chick-fil-As Design technology tools and systems. The roll will be responsible for providing design leadership and management of the BIM based design strategy and operations platform for the lifecycle of new and existing restaurants. The role will partner primarily with the Restaurant Development team, Digital Transformation and Technology and others cross functionally both internal and external to ensure the restaurant prototypes, standards, guidelines, and systems are designed, built and maintained within the program.

Develop and maintainscalableBIMworkflows;provide direct support tointernal and consultantproject teamsto effectively execute those workflowsProvide proactivetraining andworkflowcommunicationtodesign and constructionteams including, but not limited to, BIMimplementationplanning, teamonboarding and design standardsProvide guidelines forBIMworkflow and contentstandards for consultant partners including all disciplines: Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Kitchen Equipment, FurnitureProvide leadership for consistent data capture and reporting related to restaurant Design as well as supporting workflows to share that data with other stakeholders within the business.Lead consultant partners in the development and maintenance ofDesign Technology standardsand systems that help streamline the design, build and maintenance of Chick-fil-A locationsDevelop clear consultant partner onboardingand training onChick-fil-A designstandards,guidelinesand requiredsoftwaresfor workflow executionAddressesworkflow processissues,in collaboration with internal stakeholders as well as design technology consultant partners.Stay current withindustrydesign software, developments in integrated practice, and othercomplimentarytechniques.Collaborate on implementation of new technology strategies, design methodologies, systems and tools for restaurant design and innovation process (Sim Models, VR, Capacity Models, AI, Generative Design)Ability to develop workingknowledge of industrialized construction techniques and advancementsUnderstand and build upon strategic direction, workflow automation and other established VDC initiatives that are currently in place

Minimum Qualifications:
Degreed professional in design related field (Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, Urban Planning & Design)Autodesk Revit proficiency & familiarity with complimentary software. (Autodesk and non-Autodesk) Autocad is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:
8+ years of experienceProfessional license (AIA, NCIDQ, Professional Engineering)Familiarity with Design automation tools (Dynamo, Python, etc.)Familiarity with Amazon AWS database structureExperience coordinating with architectural systems consultantsProven experience leading and developing external partners (architectural, engineering, environmental, or design agencies)Exceptional written, graphic and oral communication skills.Self-starter with strong organization and project management.Must have keen ability to identify, source, and leverage diverse resources (partners, information, resources)
