Position Overview - Food Truck Cook

Compensation: $15-$16 p/hr depending on experience. Plus tips

Work Location: Blended Culture Food Truck | On Location - Deep Eddy Vodka Distillery 2250 E Hwy 290, Dripping Springs, TX 78620

Working days: Wednesday & Thursday Prep, Friday - Sunday at truck, Average 8-9 hrs a day, must have availability on weekends & evenings

What we're looking for:
  • Observe and practice all established health and sanitation procedures for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and/or dining areas
  • Be able to take instructions and follow recipes
  • Ensure all products are prepared, held and served at correct temperatures
  • Ensure the proper rotation, labeling and dating of all products
  • Working knowledge of all kitchen equipment
  • Solid understanding of standard measurements and portions
  • Use the proper utensils and portions at all times
  • Keep work area clean, sanitized, and organized
  • Keep management informed of food quantities and quality in prep, on the line and in holding cabinets
  • Coordinate orders to ensure they are cooked timely and with accuracy
  • Assist with re-stocking of all plateware and food items as needed
  • Assist other positions when needed
  • Perform all opening and closing procedures according to the current manual
  • May be assigned to work multiple stations throughout the shift
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations
  • Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time
What we're looking for:
  • Availability required Wednesday through Sunday (2 days of prep +3 days at Truck)
  • Line experience preferred
  • Must have the required licenses, such as, food handlers
  • Must be able to carry at least 50 lbs
  • A personable individual, who has a "can do" attitude
  • A self-motivated teammate that thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Must bring positivity to all shifts
  • Excellent emotional control in fast-paced environments
  • Adaptable/flexible, enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Must be punctual, self-motivated, and prepared for shifts
  • Must have a reliable source of transportation to and from shifts
  • Ability to be productive and effective in both busy and slow times
  • Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
  • Must maintain high standards of personal grooming and attire, including uniforms, hair, shoes, and cleanliness
