Supporting companywide strategic initiatives related to restaurant optimization and profitability. The role will assist in overseeing restaurant systems that are designed to support restaurant profitability, including but not limited to; workforce management software, back office operating systems designed to manage COGS and controllable expenses as well as other systems directly related to restaurant level strategy and profitability. The role will support in the design, implementation and oversight of all restaurant profitability systems. The role is responsible for developing reporting solutions and delivering recommendations to ensure that stores have the right system in place to achieve optimal restaurant profitability without negatively affecting the guest experience.RESPONSIBILITIESParticipate in labor projects and initiatives designed to improve restaurant performance, productivity, team member and/or guest experience. Provide subject matter expertise in labor, COGS and other controllable areas to Senior Leadership and other business partners to support enterprise, business unit, and other targeted initiatives.Develop innovative strategies to position restaurants to provide a differentiating guest experience through effective store labor models, labor allocation methodologies, cost control systems and leading profitability processes.Oversee the building of profitability models to achieve targeted service levels and improve restaurant profitability.Assess restaurant profiles to ensure the correct profitability model is applied for each location and area of business. Collaborate with Field and Store Operations Leadership to ensure that profitability models and plans support upcoming activities to drive execution of sales and events.Analyze all restaurant practices and standard operating procedures to identify opportunities for process improvement. Identify patterns and communicate variances to planned profitability.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS4 year degree in MIS, finance, math, statistics or business preferred2+ years of experience in Pricing, Revenue Management, Finance, Marketing Analytics, or related field preferredREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIESBe able to plan effectively and multi-task. Utilizing time management and organization skills to achieve aggressive deadlines. Set priorities. Maintain organizational and filing systems.Deliver assigned work on time and on budget.Knowledge and experience with restaurant level budgeting processesSpecialized Training in Workforce Management system highly preferredKnowledge of Food Cost and Controllable Actual vs. Theoretical control systems highly preferredKnowledge of HR/Payroll, Task Management, Scheduling, Labor Forecasting, and Time and Attendance technology and operational processesKnowledge of hospitality industry best practices, rules, and regulationsData manipulation and reporting experience using Excel, SQL, and TableauWork independently or as part of a cross-functional team to lead ops procedure developmentCommunicate with coworkers, management, franchisees, operators, and others courteously and professionally.
