The product suite provides brands with a high volume real-time set of payment transactions that can be configured to support a variety of environments. Under general supervision, the Fraud Analyst supports those objectives through online and offline fraud prevention. The principal business outcome of this role is to maximize orders for our brand partners while minimizing business risk for those partners and for Grubhub. This role requires excellent communication skills as well as a unique and energetic approach to problem solving.The Fraud team catalogues and monitors opportunities in all aspects of fraud that stand to harm Grubhub and its partners. This team will own the understanding and prioritization of anti-fraud efforts and coordinate with other stakeholders and teams throughout the company to drive results.Position Responsibilities:Monitor and investigate potentially fraudulent behavior while using the tools at hand to prevent future instancesHandle delicate conversations with diners, the Customer Experience Team, and restaurant brandsWork with the leadership team to establish and achieve specific loss prevention goals Complete fraud queues as needed to ensure the proper and timely review of all suspicious transactionsProvide subject matter expertise for the Technical Brand Management team, supporting their objective of creating exceptional brand experiences by distilling the complexities of fraud and abuse to unfamiliar audiencesResolve escalated issues in conjunction with Customer & Restaurant Care in accordance with Grubhub policies in a manner that best achieves fraud prevention objectivesCollect and analyze risk data to feed new transaction screening strategiesWhat You Bring to the TableWorking knowledge of the various types of credit card and account fraud2+ years working with customers directly, preferably in an online service-oriented environment1+ years minimum working in fraud prevention, preferably in a card-not-present environmentStrong analytical skills Ability to think creatively, highly-driven, and self-motivatedDemonstrated ability to work with team members across an organizationDetail-oriented and highly organizedProficiency in Google Suite; advanced Excel/Sheets skills preferredFamiliarity with SQL or experience with business intelligence tools such as Sisense Periscope, Redash.iO, or Tableau is preferredExposure to Forter, Accertify, or Sygnifyd fraud prevention platforms a (really big) plus!And Of Course, Perks!PTO.
