Job Overview:

The Assistant Manager of 9 Mile Station must operate with courage, resolve, and a can-do attitude (grit). They will supervise the daily operation of the restaurant and be present of the floor during service to ensure a remarkable guest experience. The position of assistant manager requires problem solving, confidence, and a passion to learn.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Work the floor actively applying a professional, hands-on approach; unafraid to get hands dirty
  • Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback to team members, actively facilitating their growth
  • Maintain a high level of hospitality towards guests and team members alike
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members to meet the standards of the restaurant
  • Schedule and direct team members effectively to meet the volume of the restaurant which can change throughout the year
  • Organize and conduct effective, and informative pre-shift meetings before each service
  • Attend regularly scheduled training accompanying new seasonal menu roll-outs and meetings scheduled throughout the year
  • Ensure restaurant is completely set up and spotless before the beginning of service
  • Assign and monitor daily and weekly side work duties
  • Assist with beverage inventory when prompted
  • Work a combination of opening and closing shifts throughout the week

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years Food and Beverage experience with at least 1 year of management experience
  • Have a basic knowledge of Profit and Loss reporting and how you can personally affect the outcome
  • Have a passion for providing the highest level of hospitality to our guests
  • Conduct themselves with a high level of humility and hold themselves personally accountable
  • Possess a people first mentality
  • Have a basic understanding of computer functions including the Microsoft Office suite of products and financial software
  • Have an eye for quality and be able to identify whether or not product is made correctly by simply looking at it
  • Have the ability to effectively deal with all manner of guests and situations that may arise during service
