Job Summary (Role Summary)

The Product Engineer is responsible for providing Engineering, Management and Operational support for cloud enabled in-room entertainment products. This role will also be responsible for maintaining and improving any infrastructure dependencies such as AWS, MS Azure, Google Cloud etc. The scope of responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, day-to-day operations both from a process and system perspective; product improvements, escalation of individual cases, supporting and holding system integrators accountable for responsiveness for service issues; process improvements; keeping abreast of new innovations in the industry; participating in contract reviews and negotiations; and building and maintaining excellent relationship with strategic partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as key Engineering contact for IHG Studio partners that provide services for hotels
Work closely with product leadership and other team members to keep up to date on the internal processes/procedures that may impact the IHG Studio Program
Assist with problem resolution, including day-to-day operational/system issues and ongoing, more systemic, relational issues.
Work closely with our internal and external IT partners who support the interfaces between IHG and IHG Studio equipment manufacturers
Manage security and access control for the cloud management portals and any relevant data dashboards
Review accuracy of the IHG Studio application following System Integrator installation at properties
Monitor health of hotel system and follow-up on alerts generated from the different vendor managed portal(s)
Responsible for coordinating and facilitating monthly/quarterly calls with partners as needed
Discuss new and existing service/product offerings, including staying abreast of trends and changes in the hospitality industry
Work closely with those who attend industry conferences to provide input and solicit feedback to improve the product What we need from you


Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience. Experience

4+ years progressive work-related experience in engineering and managing globally deployed guest facing products and platforms, with demonstrated mastery of technical and business knowledge. Technical Skills and Knowledge

Primary responsibility will include providing engineering oversight and support the IHG Studio installations globally.
Assist in the design and implementation of the IHG Studio solution at IHG hotels globally
Be the technical SME for internal teams and external partners escalation point for IHG Studio engineering questions
Network and communications systems trouble shooting experience required
Excellent analytical ability and great communications skills
Interpersonal relationship skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Customer service skills and experience is important

Internal Key Relationships

This position will work closely with internal IT development teams, Technology services teams, support teams to discuss projects, provide recommendations on improvement opportunities and operating and financial performance. External Key Relationships

Key strategic vendors, professional associations and industry experts to keep informed of existing and evolving industry standards. Work Environment
