The Coordinator, Member Inclusion is a member of ACLPs membership team and reports directly to the Director of Member Engagement & Partnerships.The Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and execution of member engagement activities, support association diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, and other tasks as assigned.Note: ACLP is open to candidates local to the DC area and remote candidates. Local candidates should be aware ACLP currently operates remotely due to COVID-19.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Host/Co-host monthly open-mic sessions for members of colorHost/Co-host monthly roll call events / social events for studentsHost/Co-host quarterly or monthly meetups for affinity groupsHost/Co-host quarterly or monthly meetups for subspecialties in child lifeDevelop a cohort of co-leaders from the field to rotate monthly and quarterly inside the above groups during the monthly and quarterly meetings and sessionsBe available by appointment for sensitive or 1-1 conversation with our members when feedback is uncomfortable in a groupProvide a quantitative and qualitative synthesis of conversations for the CEOWrite a quarterly board report of trends and feedback from listening and sharing sessionsServe as staff liaison for working groups formed to execute parts of the DEI action planSolicit submissions for and compile/edit monthly Member Turning Points online featureCoordinate with Education Team members to create resources for student members including webinars, live chats, videos, and online resourcesParticipate in strategic planning sessions to bring member voices to the session and help with any focus groups held in lead up to strategic planningSupplement the Director, Membership Engagement with regional conference travel and virtual presenceSupport community-building activities on ACLP Connect, a private social network, tracking trending topics over time and providing data to program managers.Support the Director, Member Engagement on data analysis of member demographics and efforts to increase participation in data collection effortsParticipate and coordinate in member engagement activities for the Child Life Annual ConferenceParticipate and coordinate in member engagement activities for Child Life MonthCoordinate requested follow-up conversations for new and lapsed membersOTHER JOB INFORMATION:Travel one week per year for the ACLP National ConferenceOccasional remote work option with prior approvalPotential for occasional travel to regional child life events when safeQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's DegreeDemonstrated experience facilitating conversations virtually with small and medium-sized groupsTraining and experience, volunteer or paid, in unconscious bias and cultural humility/cross-cultural communicationExperience working on DEI initiatives in an association or community setting a strong plusExperience as a member or staff member of a membership organization a plusDemonstrated ability to summarize themes and pull out innovative ideas from group conversationsStrong emotional intelligence and empathyA commitment to complete ongoing training and learning in DEI, EQ, and communicationProficient in MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel), comfort with Office 365 and collaborative functions preferredJOB STATUS: The Program Coordinator is a permanent, full-time position and is classified as exempt (salaried at a regular rate regardless of the number of hours worked).SALARY AND BENEFITS: The salary for this position is between $40,000 and $50,000 depending on experience.
