Job Purpose: As a Cook at Aspire Health Partners, your job purpose will be to provide a multitude of essential functions in preparing and serving large quantities of food for clients in residential or day programs. These functions include -- but are not limited to -- working from menus and recipes planned by others, determining food requirements. Ordering or shopping for food and storing food, planning cooking operations involving the preparation and serving of large quantities of food, maintain food storage areas, directing clients in the cleanup of the kitchen and dining areas for special events, maintain equipment, completing Juvenile Justice Use of Force Training to include physical crisis intervention techniques and completing Protective Action Response (PAR) training if applicable to facility. Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
Ability to receive and maintain a(n) Level II Background clearance Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver's license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire insurance company as described in the AHP Corporate Transportation Policy 3.9.1 Requires the equivalent of an applied trades training program in food preparation and service involving at least two thousand hours of training. Other qualifications: At least one year of experience in the preparation and service of large quantities of food in an institutional setting.
