Supervises and coordinates activities of personnel in food production and preparation for the patient care and cafeteria areas. Responsible for training and evaluation of personnel involved in food preparation and production. Responsible for departmental catering activities, working with Director and/or Chef to assure menus and production capability necessary to maintain quality catering operations. Responsible for review and maintenance of all standards of food safety and sanitation in work area. Responsible for coaching, resolving issues and providing direction to the Nutrition Service Staff.
Prepares and maintains departmental personnel and financial records including nourishments, patient tray counts, productivity, cafeteria sales, and catering functions on a daily basis
Maintains knowledge of diet office operations and assists management and clinical staff in communication and coordination of necessary activities of hosts/hostessesSupervises, trains, and evaluates personnel in preparation and production for all departmental areas when regular supervisor is unavailableSupervises and/or assists in the preparation and service of special dinners, or functionsAttends 75% of all departmental staff meetingsReports to: Director of Nutritional Services

Board of HealthMinimum Work ExperienceDemonstrates ability to follow written and oral instructions. Capability to operate steam and/or electrical equipment. Prior experience with food service preferred. Minimum of 3 years experience in food service or food production environment.Hospital food service experience with exposure to modified diets preferredDietary Manager's or Dietetic Technician coursework sponsored by the ADA or healthcare supervisory experience preferred.
