Job Description

Position: Benefits Specialist, Human Resources
Location: Carlsbad, hybrid remote/onsite
Duration: Temporary to permanent
Pay: Annual, $65K

We are looking for a Benefits Specialist to join a growing company in Carlsbad! As the Benefits Specialist you will be the primary contact for internal employees, supporting them by answer questions related to: open enrollment, FMLA/ADA benefits, hosting WebEx/ events on benefits and tracking changes through their HRIS. Organization is focused on delivering high levels of service to internal and external customers alike. To be successful you must be able to connect with employees at all levels of the organization in a professional, friendly and patient style.

Lead open enrollment
Encourage and track participation in wellness and engagement programs
Answer questions regarding FMLA/ADA leaves
Process LOAs
Oversee workers comp investigations/claims
Support leadership and managers with benefits related employee relations
Prepare and lead benefit information sessions
Track employee changes through HRIS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor degree in related field
5+ years of Benefits experience at mid size organization
Intermediate technical skills including MS Office and HRIS experience
