Job Summary

Serves as Food Services Manager for LOGCAP NORTHCOM Setting the Theater Task Order. This position provides leadership and direction to all levels of food service functions to include, supervision, leads, sous chefs, cooks, administration, warehouse, and janitorial personnel; in order to plan, organize, and manage all aspects of food service in a military dining facility or contingency feeding environment. The food service manager ensures resources are applied to achieve the highest standards of service in order to meet or exceed client specifications. Monitors food service standards and processes, manages budgetary constraints, and completes relevant documentation. Implements and evaluates training programs and completes relevant documentation. Ensures compliance with client/company health and safety regulations. Plans and oversees the execution of special functions. Has the necessary experience to evaluate and hire the correct caliber of food service staff. Involves supporting the Task Order Manager within NORTHCOM and contributing to analysis and developing concepts of support for food service operation. Participates in the proposal development estimating, and scheduling processes. Attends staff and synchronization meetings with Task Order Manager. Ability to represent the program when meeting with customers and clients. Various other duties as assigned. Works under the direct supervision of the Task Order Manager. This position will require extensive travel throughout the United States.

Requirements:

  • Requires minimum of 5+ years of experience in successfully managing all facets of food service and dining facility management.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain food service medical clearance
  • Supervising/Managing multiple dining facilities simultaneously which support military troops
  • The ability to operate and provide service in contingency locations
  • Knowledge of Military (Tri - Service Food Code/TB Med 530) regulations and policies governing, at a minimum, food storage, preparation, and serving.
  • Knowledge of AR 30-22, DA PAM 30-22, TM 4-41.11 and TM 4-41.12
  • Must have Serve Safe Managers Certification
  • AFMIS and STORES experience is desired
  • Experience with Mobile Kitchen Trailers (MKT) / Containerized Kitchen Trailers (CKT) is a plus
  • Must be able to travel within CONUS and internationally to austere locations for extended periods and meet KBR and Government mandated pre-deployment requirements including but not limited to: drug screening, medical screening, dental release, and criminal background check
  • Project management skills, including forward thinking, leadership, accountability, flexibility, focus under pressure and respect for diverse perspectives a plus
  • Must possess driver's license
