Food Service Aide

Raleigh General Hospital

Performs a variety of preparation, distribution, and sanitation functions in support of assigned areas.

Assists with preparing food and beverages for distribution to patients, guests, service/dining areas, and catering services.

Stores food, beverages, and supplies in designated containers and areas according to policies andprocedures.Assists with customer-facing duties as assigned, including tray delivery and catering special events.Assists with sanitation duties, including dishwashing and maintaining work and food service areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.

Reports to: Director of Nutritional Services

FLSA: Non-exempt

Grade: G01

Job Requirements:

Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Valid Food Service Worker Permit from the Board of Health at next available food handler permit class.Minimum Work ExperiencePrevious food service experience preferred.
