A growing restaurant chain of over 20 units is looking for a Food and Beverage Cost Analyst who is self-motivated and self-directed to join our team.


The position of Food and Beverage Cost Analyst is responsible for reporting on the food and beverage cost to management, primarily through the administration of the company's Crunchtime database.


This person will be required to be the Company expert on CrunchTime and be responsible for continual training of users at all levels. This role will also act as the liaison between finance, operations, IT, and the Corporate Chef ensuring data is transmitted uniformly to decision makers. This person will directly report to the CFO and is responsible for weekly and monthly analysis of food and beverage costs across all the company's locations.


Food and Beverage Cost Analyst Duties and Requirements

  • Prepare weekly prime costs report for each unit, outlining budget variances and trends
  • Evaluate and report on the profitability of all menu items
  • Negotiate with vendors on best pricing and shop suppliers
  • Execute Crunchtime database maintenance which involves:
  1. Adding products
  2. Adding recipes
  3. Maintaining vendors
  4. Managing vendor order guides
  5. Setting up new restaurants
  6. Maintaining users
  • Ensuring all vendor bills are entered
  • Ensure Crunchtime is properly syncing with the company POS and accounting software
  • Perform site visits to restaurants to train and evaluate users
  • Ensure weekly and monthly inventory counts are properly recorded
  • Maintain a positive attitude while setting high personal standards
  • Travel to the restaurant locations is required
  • Weekend and night hours may be required


Food and Beverage Cost Analyst Qualifications

  • 5 or more years proven F&B experience, preferably in a multi-unit restaurant environment
  • Finance, Supply Chain, Data Analyst degree, or any similar relevant degree
  • Up to date with food and beverage trends and best practices
  • Willingness to travel to all our restaurant locations, possible weekends
  • Ability to create reports to give to ownership
  • Customer oriented mindset
  • Great organization skills
  • Crunchtime or similar F&B ERP experience
