The Sepsis Coordinatoris a Registered Nurse who provides support and assists in the delivery ofquality patient care for patients at Kendall Regional Medical Center. The primary responsibility of the Sepsis Coordinatoris the continuum of care for the sepsis patients. The Sepsis Coordinator willensure continuity between clinical practice and standards of care to patients withsepsis. The individual works collaboratively with physicians, nurses and casemanagers and other health care disciplines utilizing a team approach. This position will serve as a leader, rolemodel and mentor to facilitate each professional providing care to sepsispatients.
This individual willreport directly to CNO and VP of Quality and act as an in-house clinicalconsultant regarding excellence in clinical care for this patientpopulation. The coordinator will beresponsible for meeting Joint Commission standards and complying with corporatepolicy and procedure. The coordinatorhas responsibility for the development and execution of growth strategies forthe service lines. Responsible forperformance improvement, P&P, physician relations, program development,education and community outreach strategies.
