Bus Driver/ Maintenance Worker- PT Day, Rochester

River Bend Assisted Living, a 94-unit assisted living and memory care campus located just east of downtown Rochester, is currently seeking a Part-Time Bus Driver/ Maintenance Worker to join our team! In this important role, you will transport residents to grocery stores, restaurants, and community outings. You will also assist the maintenance department to help maintain our beautiful campus.  Our ideal candidate is friendly, positive, and has an outgoing personality. Safety is our number one priority. Staff are provided with personal protective equipment.

This is a Part-Time position working a varied schedule. Hours: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Pay: $12.50 per hour.

Bus Driver/ Maintenance Worker responsibilities: 

• Drive the bus for schedule resident and employee outings. 
• Complete proper documentation for MnDOT including daily logs and quarterly reports. 
• Track and schedule maintenance for the bus. 
• Complete daily upkeep for the bus including filling up gas, washer fluid, etc.
• Respond to various maintenance requests by residents and staff.
• Collect and dispose of garbage at our campus.
• Complete lawn care and snow removal as needed.
• Complete additional tasks as requested.

Bus Driver/ Maintenance Worker skills and requirements:  

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required. 
• Must pass the MnDOT physical examination and a criminal background check.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience working with people with memory loss and physical disabilities is desired. 
• Friendly, outgoing and positive personality.
