Job Description

IT TechnicianThe IT Technician will have an overall responsibility for installing POS systems and providing support to all in-restaurant technology, including but not limited to; network troubleshooting, device maintenance and installations & replacements. The ideal candidate should be aware of networking, firewall configurations, technology troubleshooting. The IT Technician well help to maintain operations, communications, and technology management, while providing maintenance and emergency support to restaurant team members, allowing locations to maintain uninterrupted operations, with full support and diligence.RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain restaurant internet uptime and be fully available on-call for any issue resolution that arises if network connection failsRestaurant IT Maintenance and installation:Network and POS troubleshooting and installationsDrive-thru timers and headsetsDigital menu boardsFirewallCredit card machinesCredit card troubleshootingSurveillance systemsHelps to identify opportunities to streamline and optimize restaurant IT configurationsEnsures compliance with applicable employment laws and regulationsConducts ALL business at the highest level of integrityPerform other duties as assignedAbility to travel 80-90%SKILLSProficient knowledge of networking, cabling, technology troubleshooting, point of sale systems, and device installationsProblem solving and creative thinking skills to overcome problems in the fieldEffective written communication and the ability to prepare reports, proposals, procedures, and policiesEffective public relations skills and sound public speaking skillsSuperior listening skillsREQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, and/or related work experienceAbility to present information and make recommendations effectively in oral and written formProficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word & PowerPoint)Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks (time management)Knowledge of basic networking and restaurant POS systemsGood judgment, approachable and professional demeanorExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to champion new ideas and initiativesProficient with automated reporting systemsAbility to handle stressful situationsValues diversity
