Gracy Woods II Nursing Center - RESPONSIBILITIES:The Hospitality Aide will provide basic and indirect patient care to assigned residents in the Long Term and Skilled Care setting, under direct supervision of nurses and other medical professionals.Qualifications Demonstrates competency in skills and techniques necessary to provide nonclinical care for residents needs through Resident Assessment. Demonstrates knowledge of Universal Precautions and the Blood Borne Pathogen rules.List of Specific Job Duties Assist CNA's by passing fresh water cups/ice, snacks, towels and food trays to residents. Answer call lights in a timely manner, determine if request does not involve direct care then carry out request. Examples of non-direct care would be, helping with TV, telephone, getting a personal item, giving a blanket or pillow, refill water/ice. Assist the CNA'S daily by, spending one-on-one time with the residents requiring close monitoring. Pass meals for patients according to patient care plans and adhered to all food safety regulations. Feed residents requiring assistance feeding. Assist with direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living; such as wash residents hands before and after meals, combing hair, and nail care (cannot use nail clippers). Maintain healthy, clean and infection free patient care environment (such as, cleaning bedside table to prepare for serving meals). Assist with transporting linens and trash to soiled utility room. Disinfect telephones and nurses station. Be alert to residents comforts and needs, and report to charge nurse.
