Job Description

Job Summary: The Cook prepares food that meets current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations by following established policies and procedures. He or she ensures that safe and high quality food service is provided at all times.

Responsibilities: • Prepares food items to order following established recipes and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety • Cleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparation • Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices • Restocks food supplies and takes inventory when required

Job Requirements:
•One year of relevant experience •Formal culinary training a plus •Knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations regarding food practices and handling required •Excellent communication skills, verbal and written •Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed •Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays •High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma preferred
