Cook I - The Cellar (part-time) - 501801
Cook I is an entry level kitchen position. Working under direction, Cook I prepares food in quantity, and is responsible for maintaining high standards for food quality while practicing proper sanitation, food safety, and cooking procedures.
The Cellar is an on campus pub-style restaurant located in the Tyler Haynes Commons in the heart of campus, overlooking beautiful Westhampton Lake. The Cellar is a popular evening spot where friends gather to share a snack, sandwich, or full dinner, and enjoy a cold beverage. A diverse schedule of local live entertainment, karaoke, and even popular sporting events on a big-screen TV offers something for everyone.
In the assigned unit, this position may perform some or all of the following:
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT:
This position requires long periods of standing and walking, and the ability to lift 50 lbs., in conditions that are often, hot, humid, or cold. Must be able to safely use and operate typical kitchen tools and equipment. Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, on occasion.

Pay Grade 1 (Hiring Range $13.00 to $14.00 per hour)
