Sodexo is seeking a Executive Chef 2 for its Senior Living Community located in Richmond, VA.

Are you an Executive Chef with fine dining & catering experience and a passion for training & developing Teams on culinary techniques and customer service? If so, we would love to hear from you!

In this role; you implement culinary systems, processes, and procedures, training employees on basic culinary skills, menu development, inventory and on-line food & supply ordering, cost controls, food and kitchen safety and sanitation, and Sodexo systems and standards. The ability to articulate ideas, thoughts, opinions, professionally and clearly within all levels of the organization is critical. Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to integrate fully within our client's organization becoming a trusted adviser and member of the Covenant Village and Sodexo leadership team.

Your Skills Checklist for this position;

Culinary Degree / Trade School Certificate, Servsafe Certified

Healthcare / Seniors / CCRC background

Contract Food Service Management experience

Financial skill with food & labor cost controls

HR skills to partner with General & District Managers to develop teams

Computer skills; Financial, Food & Labor Management Systems

Experience with high level customer satisfaction and quality standards

Working knowledge of HACCP monitors for Regulatory compliance

Dynamic leadership skills for outcomes that exceed Client and Resident expectations

Work hours and days vary, based on account needs: Mon-Fri with some weekends

Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution.
Key Duties
- Implements & coordinates the culinary function.
- Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.
- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.
- Manages catering & retail areas.
- Customer & Client satisfaction.
- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
- Manages food & physical safety programs.

Job Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
