The Director of Sales will be responsible for developing sales strategies to generate banquet and event and catering revenue from the corporate and association markets inbound to Las Vegas for the portfolio of Earl Enterprise restaurant concepts. This position requires thoughtful development of new business acquisitions as well as generating additional revenue opportunities from existing accounts. The Director of Sales will solicit business opportunities through existing relationships, cold calls, trade shows, hotel partnerships, destination management companies, bureaus and other relevant groups as it relates to the corporate and association market to meet and/or exceed food and beverage goals. Essential Functions Statement(s) Book group events for all Earl Enterprise restaurant concepts in the Las Vegas market. Develop and implement sales strategies for banquet events and catering opportunities. Generate proposals to obtain definite business commitments from corporate and association travel planners both inbound and in the local market. Ability to perform prospecting/cold calls as needed. Solicit new and existing accounts including corporate accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through all methods of solicitation. Communicate all event details as necessary through established internal platforms. Partner with Local Community Groups, Major Corporations in the Area, Hotels, Destination Companies, Convention & Visitor Bureaus/Associations, Meeting Planners, and other relevant groups through outside sales strategies to generate banquet and catering sales Consistently meet solicitation goals for prospecting sales calls to qualify accounts and opportunities while generating generate leads, interest, and revenue in the market. Conduct sales presentations, meetings and host events-onsite and offsite with qualified clients on a weekly basis. Generate and conduct weekly site inspections for all relevant markets. Follow up on leads and inquiry calls promptly to secure high closing and conversion ratios. Implement promotions and programs with local and national corporate and association planners based upon assigned vertical or geographical territories. Maximize unit profitability through proper yield management Weekly sales activity reports and updates to the Sr. Director of Sales and/or Vice President of National Sales or immediate leadership report. Work closely with the corporate office to measure local market impact. Create a positive guest experience and provide quality service through detailed group event planning with culinary and operations team. SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred Experience: 7 - 10 years corporate and/or association meeting planner related sales experience required. Hospitality experience required. Hotel/Theme Park/Destination Management direct experience with corporate and association preferred. Restaurant sales and catering industry experience a plus. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for promoting the Kansas City/ Missouri Market and partnering with Meeting Planners, Local Corporations, Community Groups, Area Hotels, Destination Companies, Event Venues, Convention & Visitor Bureaus/Associations, and other relevant groups through outside sales strategies to generate new and increased banquet and catering sales for the restaurants under the specific territory assigned. Sales Responsibilities Work with Corporate Sales Team, local General Manager and Vice President of Sales to create promotions to drive business for the Unit; Create a positive guest experience and provide quality service through detailed event planning and follow up. · Partner with Local Community Groups, Major Corporations in the Area, Hotels, Destination Companies, Convention & Visitor Bureaus/Associations, Meeting Planners and other relevant groups through outside sales strategies to generate banquet and catering sales. · Daily prospecting calls to qualify accounts and opportunities and generate new leads and interest in the market consistently. · Conduct Sales Presentations, meetings and host events - onsite and offsite with qualified clients on a weekly basis. · Conduct site inspections for Destination Management Companies, Meeting Planners, major local corporations and social gatherings/wedding. · Follow up on online leads and inquiry calls promptly to secure high closing and conversion ratios. · Implement promotions and programs with local groups based on your city's trends (i.e. conventions, special events, local businesses, etc.) in order to solicit group bookings and/or increase foot traffic to the restaurant. Maximize unit profitability through proper yield management. · Collaborate with Corporate Sales Team by creating awareness of upcoming and current promotions with the above mentioned groups, Hotels and other appropriate groups. · Regularly conduct marketing plans accordingly. These will include, but are not limited to, evaluation of the following: Hospitality, Corporate and Conventions industry media and publications, area competitor's product and prices, and city/state visitor statistics and market trends. · Manage National Accounts assigned by the Corporate Sales Team by conducting sales presentations, visits, follow-up calls, Familiarization Tours, and maintaining regular communication with the Corporate Sales Team Member responsible for the account. · Report to the Vice President of Sales on your weekly activities and sales goals. · Work closely with General Manager to measure local market impact and exposure versus related expenditures of current programs and promotions. Qualifications Education: Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) preferred Experience: Four (4) years to (6) years related experience. Minimum three years in the Hospitality/Restaurant industry with management experience in catering and sales, private banquets and fine dining. Excellent written communication, verbal communication and organizational skills. Ability to travel in-area to generate sales more than 50% of the workweek Ability to work extended hours including nights and weekends Ability to conduct site inspections. Public speaking experience a plus. Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. Knowledge of Tripleseat booking system and Open Table preferred. The Sales Specialist will be responsible for growing our business by managing the sales pipeline, generating Banquet Event Orders, and communicating all event details to the restaurants assigned. Concepts the sales specialist will be responsible for include: Buca di Beppo, Bertucci's, Bravo Italian Kitchen, Brio Italian Grille, Chicken Guy, Earl of Sandwich, and Planet Hollywood. What You'll Do Own and manage a pipeline of guests all organized in our CRM Create a positive guest experience and provide quality service through detailed group event planning. Respond to all new group leads, follow up on existing leads and accounts. Book parties and events for Earl Enterprise restaurants nationwide. Obtain all relevant information from the customer/event coordinator and/or travel planner and send appropriate menu pricing information. Respond to customer inquiries promptly to secure group reservations and generate immediate revenue. Generate a Banquet Event Order, contracting the event specifications and follow-up with the Group Coordinator/Event Planner to secure an executed/signed contract and deposit. Keep record of customer interactions and transactions in our CRM. Communicate all event details to the local operations team. Maximize Unit profitability through proper yield management.
