ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Stocks and maintains a neat and orderly housekeeping cart Ensures they pick up after themselves at all times: including housekeeping storage closets, employee breakrooms, and employee bathrooms. Sorts counts, folds, marks, or carries linens; make beds. Cleans kitchens including all counter tops, floors, silverware, dishes, and applicances. Moves furniture, to sweep, vacuum, scrub, wax and/or polish floors. Cleans rugs, carpet, upholstered furniture, and draperies. Dusts furniture, blinds, artwork, and all surfaces. Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills. Empties all wastebaskets and unsures cleanliness. Cleans bathrooms; including all showers, toilets, sinks, counters, tile, and floors. Replenishes all supplies in unit. Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.: Captain the horse-drawn sleighs (20-person and 4-person) at Haymaker Golf Course behind a team of draft horses for the Haymaker Sleigh ride dinner Feed and water the horses, catch, groom, and transport horses to Haymaker Harness and hitch horses to sleigh Inspect sleigh before each trip to ensure curtains are connected, lights working, sleigh free of snow, sleigh is properly connected and safety chains hooked Drive the Sleigh trail as mapped out while maintaining high hospitality standards Unhitch and stable horses, lock up and put away equipment, clean and tarp sleighs Assist guests into and out of the sleighs Required to fold blankets after sleigh rides, up to 60 blankets Sweep snow from seats of sleighs and clear sleigh of snow Administer basic first aid to horses if there are any kicks, bites or scrapes on horses; report any health issues that may require vet service to manager Ensure that horses are properly cooled and stabled after each shift Must be able to think and work as a team player Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements Other duties, as assigned Minimum skills, experience, education and ability required for this job: Horse and sleigh driving experience required; must have experience working with horses Ability to adhere to all safety policies Must safely operate a sleigh holding as many as 20 people while maintaining high hospitality standards Expected to interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company's Service Excellence standards Physical Requirements: Must be minimum 18 years of age Must have excellent hand and eye coordination (horse pulling sleigh on narrow pathways) Must have good night vision and operate equipment at night Must lift approximately 50 lbs and sit for long periods of time in the cold Comfortable bending (hook up sleigh, pulling out stairs for guests) Must walk on uneven slick conditions in extreme weather conditions Must communicate clearly in English Must have a valid driver's license and meet insurability standards Miscellaneous information: This is a hourly non-exempt position and is subject to overtime pay Position requires working weekends and holidays as needed All Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation employees are required to follow adapting COVID policies and guidelines. Hourly Rate: The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position.
