  • Greet and assist guests entering and exiting the hospitality property, like taking keys of their vehicles, closing, and opening vehicle doors, and answering queries for locations, directions, etc.
  • A valet attendant must always be polite, professional and courteous and exchange pleasantries within 10-15 seconds of the guest arrival and expedite fast customer service.
  • Attend guest/visitor queries and communicate correct information regarding parking norms/regulations of the establishment in a clear and concise manner.
  • It is important for a valet parking attendant to get basic training when he joins a new place of work. If the person has no prior experience then he can tag along a senior co-worker to familiarize himself with the parking procedures/paperwork, etc.
  • If the person has prior experience then it is easier to get to know the new set-up at the new property.
  • On the job, once a guest arrives file the correct paperwork online or manually to clock in the date and time, vehicle registration number, make and model and contact number of the vehicle owner.
  • Tag the vehicle key and provide the guest/visitor with the correct receipt or token of valet parking at the property and also verify the receipt once the guests produce it for his vehicle.
  • Must be able to effectively park the vehicle legally without causing any damage and also know how to drive and operate both manual/automatic transmission type vehicles.
